“The Grass is Always Bluer” – An original bluegrass tune
High Strung is an energetic duo made up of Brock Burford on guitar/vocals and Colin Maier on fiddle/vocals. In addition to these instruments, they also play bass, banjo, mandolin, piano, oboe, sax, penny whistle and harmonica.
Their original music is a blend of folk, pop, bluegrass and theatre. As both Colin and Brock are musicians and actors, they first met performing in a bluegrass musical called Cotton Patch Gospel in 2004 and have performed together in various formats ever since.
Since 2018, they have entertained crowds across Ontario with their interactive performances, fun original music and multi-instrumental abilities having performed full recitals, corporate events, fundraisers, seniors outreach, children’s shows and kitchen parties.
Colin and Brock are currently working on their debut CD entitled “Road to Steel Town” and expect to have it released early 2021! So stay tuned
